San Vicente de la Barquera is one of the most beautiful villages in the Northern coast of Spain. Located in the west of Cantrabria, 40 miles from Santander and 20 miles from Llanes (Asturias).

The village has several thin-sanded beaches. The main beach, "El Merón", with 3 kilometres of sand, is one of the longest beaches in the area. Its beaches, together with the large waves of the Cantabrian sea, make of San Vicente the perfect place to practice surf and wind surf.

At night it is possible to enjoy the village's great atmosphere and have dinner in any of its great restaurants where traditional Spanish meals or great fish and seafood are served.
